With more than 30 years of experience in public accounting, Mike provides comprehensive accounting, tax, and consulting services to small and midsize health care practices in Arizona. He has been involved in strategic business plans for a variety of medical practices from start-up to exit and succession planning. Recently, he played an instrumental role in a merger and acquisition with a public company and 40-physician practice. Mike understands the greatest challenge for medical professionals is revenue cycles and overhead management. Working with practice administrators and physician-administrator teams, he analyzes revenue drivers, evaluates billings and collections, and develops operational efficiency for enhanced revenues. His extensive expertise includes operations management, physician compensation, overhead allocations, operating agreements between physician owners, memorandum of understanding (MOU), mid-level provider (physician assistants and nurse practitioners) compensation planning, new physician compensation planning, retirement planning, and year-end compensation.
